Program Description
Kosciuszko Foundation Tuition Scholarships support American students of Polish descent for graduate studies in any field at colleges and universities in the United States.  Funding is for academic year September 2017 - May 2018. Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $7,000 are awarded on a competitive basis for one academic year.

The scholarship program also supports masters degree studies at the Jagiellonian University Center for European Studies and various English Schools of Medicine in Poland.

United States citizens of non-Polish descent may apply for funding when their studies are primarily focused on Polish subjects.

ELIGIBILITY: United States citizens and permanent residents of Polish descent who are beginning or continuing their graduate studies and who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Scholarships are awarded for full-time studies only. Only one member per immediate family may receive a tuition scholarship during any given academic year. Applicants may re-apply.  Awards are limited to only two tuition scholarships per individual during the period of his/her studies.

Selection Criteria: Selection is based on academic excellence, the applicant's academic achievements, interests and motivation, the applicant's interest in Polish subjects or involvement in the Polish American community. Financial need is taken into consideration.

Deadline Dates:

January 5, 2017 - Application, Financial Information Form, Statement of Purpose, Passport sized Photo, and $35 non-refundable application fee
 Transcripts, Letters of Recommendation, Outline of Polish Ancestry and Supporting Documents and optional items such as curriculum vitae/resume.
April 10, 2017
-copy of your Letter of Admission to Graduate School

Notification of results
is made in writing on or about May 25, 2017.

Scholarship applications are considered based on the materials submitted and stated goals as presented in the Statement of Purpose. Changes in subject area which are made following scholarship notification may result in re-consideration or cancellation of the scholarship award.
