Posted Date: Mar 7th, 2012

Jonathan Falk graduated from Hofstra Law School in 1977 and was immediately employed as an associate with the firm of Jackson, Lewis, Schnitzler & Krupman, specializing in labor law.  He was killed in the 1978 San Diego air disaster while in route to California to meet with a client.

In memory of Jonathan Falk’s unique personality and ability, a memorial scholarship fund has been established by the family, the faculty, and friends of Jonathan Falk and the Jackson Lewis firm.  The scholarship recipient, who must be pursuing a career in labor and employment law, will receive an award ranging from $1,000 to 5,000.

The scholarship will be awarded to the candidate who exhibits those qualities of personality, intellect, and interest in labor and employment law that are most similar to those of Jonathan Falk.  Selection will be based upon academic record in labor law courses, resume, personal statement and personal interviews conducted by the Falk Scholarship Committee.

The award will be for the 2014-2015 academic year.
