Description
Winston & Strawn LLP believes in taking an active role in diversifying the law school pipeline and, since 2001, has offered scholarships to diverse law school students. In selecting the scholarship recipients, we consider the students' academic achievements and extra-curricular activities, demonstrated leadership skills, and interpersonal skills. Scholarship award recipients join the summer program in one of our domestic offices following the conclusion of their second year of law school, and we encourage them to consider positions with us upon graduation.

2012 Diversity Scholarship Program
Winston & Strawn LLP is offering three (3) scholarships to diverse law school students who join the 2012 summer program in one of our domestic offices following the conclusion of their second year of law school. Each $10,000 scholarship will be paid during the students' third year of law school to help defray the cost of law school tuition and related expenses.
In selecting the scholarship recipients, Winston & Strawn will consider the students':
- Interest in practicing law after graduation in one of Winston's domestic offices (currently Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.)
- Law school and undergraduate record, including academic achievements and involvement in extracurricular activities
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and interpersonal skills
Scholarship applicants who attend a law school at which Winston & Strawn conducts on-campus interviews should also sign up to see us on campus. For all other scholarship applicants, your completed application will also serve as your application to our 2012 summer program.
