Scholarship Info: Women Lawyer Association of Michigan Foundation

WHO SHOULD APPLY
Thanks to the generosity of individual donors and major corporate and law firm gifts, the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation Board of Directors will award $25,000 to ten Outstanding Women Law Students in 2012. Through a highly competitive application process each fall, generating over 100 applications at Michigan’s law schools, awardees will be selected in January of 2012. The Foundation is assisted by committees at each law school, which devote considerable time and effort to publicizing the awards and screening applications. Each award category has unique application criteria, with leadership and commitment to women’s and social issues among them.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Students apply each year by October 15th, and awardees are chosen by the Foundation Board in January. The 2012 Outstanding Women Law Students will be feted at the Foundation’s spring Awards Reception.
Award: Scholarship amounts will be at least $1,000.00.
