Margaret Yardley Fellowship


The New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs of GFWC, a member of the General Federations of Women's Clubs, is the largest volunteer service organization for women in the State of New Jersey. The NJSFWC Margaret Yardley Fellowship is awarded annually to a deserving woman in residing in NJ who is a graduate student doing advanced work in a special field of study. The fellowship was begun in 1930 to honor Margaret Yardley, one of the founders and the first president (1894-1896) of the NJSFWC.


WHO SHOULD APPLY 


Applications are limited to a New Jersey woman who is a graduate student in the field of their choice.


ELIGIBILITY


1. Resident of the state of New Jersey

2. Student engaged in graduate study

3. Financial need for tuition only

4. Students already enrolled in post graduate studies and are scheduled to obtain their degrees in May 2017 or summer 2017 are not eligible to apply.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


Deadline March 1, 2017


Award: One or more fellowships up to $1,000 are awarded based on high standards of character, scholarship, ability, purpose, potential career field and financial need.
